Leon Peter Blanda is a writer and stand-up comedian.

He sharpened his comedy fangs at dive bar open mics, and back-alley showcases in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he spent the better part of fifteen years producing, hosting, and performing live stand-up comedy.

During the worldwide pandemic, when live stand-up comedy took a semi-mandatory hiatus, Leon wrote and published his debut novel—the genre-bending, speculative Western, High Moon, followed by his autobiographical novelette, Dog Years.

Old Soul, his second novel, is due out later this year from Grendel Press.

Leon Peter Blanda currently produces and hosts three, monthly, stand-up comedy shows—JOKES, JOKES II, and JOKES After Dark. He lives with his family, and a dog, near a swamp in the Deep South.
